Meet the Doctors
Dr. Melody Sun graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2000, where she completed both her Bachelor of Science as well as her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degrees. Born and raised in Vancouver, Dr. Sun now calls the Tri-Cities her home, where she lives with her husband and three children.
Since childhood, Dr. Sun has always known that she wanted to become a healthcare provider. She is committed to quality oral health care, and strives to provide the highest quality of care that she can, with a special focus on patient comfort. She believes in spending time to educate her patients on treatment choices, and offering individual, customized treatment plans for every patient's individual needs.
In order to stay at the forefront of changing standards, research and technology, Dr. Sun has always made continuing education a priority. She has completed numerous post-graduate training programs, including attending programs at LSU, UCLA, and at the renowned Kois Centre for Dental Excellence. She spent a decade training under Dr. Hugh Maguire (Endodontic Learning Centre), and Dr. Richard V. Tucker (RV Tucker Academy). She is also a certified Invisalign provider, and has completed the DOCS (Dentistry under Oral Conscious Sedation) Level I program.
She is a member in good standing of the College of Dental Surgeons of BC, the Canadian Dental Association, the Align Institute, and the RV Tucker Academy.
When not at the office, Dr. Sun can be found chasing after her three boys. She and her husband enjoy fine cooking.
Dr. Charlotte Lee brings with her nearly a decade of dentistry. Dr. Lee is an accomplished academic, having completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery, Masters in Public Health, as well as a Masters in Experimental Pathology at the University of Southern California, receiving numerous awards throughout her studies. She further completed a residency program - training at VGH, UBC, St. Paul’s Hospital and the BC Cancer Agency, nurturing a genuine interest in serving the dental needs of the medically complex.
Her warmth, friendliness and honesty lend to a comfortable patient-centred environment, where she values trust and partnership throughout her patient care. Dr. Lee is an avid life-long learner, participating in countless local and international continuing education programs - including the esteemed Kois Center for Dental Excellence - to further hone her restorative, cosmetic, surgical, rehabilitative and preventive skills.
Dr. Lee enjoys exploring British Columbia’s expansive outdoors and making her rounds of local eateries with her family and friends. You may find her getting back into her childhood tennis form, or shredding the slopes on her snowboard in the winter. She also likes to visit hard-to-reach villages on dental missions to share our dental resources while in turn, learning of other lifestyles and cultures.
